For the first time ever Best Service and SoundsOnDemand are presenting the possibility of testing virtual instruments from your home anywhere in the world by transmitting MIDI and audio over the internet. At the 2008 Frankfurt Music Fair, Best Service presented for the first time ever the possibility of testing virtual instruments online over the internet from your home anywhere in the world. This means that customers no longer have to depend on simple audio demos. You will have direct access to all the sounds and parameters of the instruments via the installed plug-ins. Using your Windows PC you can do this with a MIDI or USB keyboard, by mouse click, or using prepared MIDI files stored in VIs. You can listen to the sounds directly as an MP3 audio stream. Depending on your online connection, there are latencies lower than 500ms, and MP3 resolutions up to 192k.

The Online Test Station is currently under beta testing and is scheduled to be made available to our customers with products from Best Service, MusicLab and Ueberschall in April 2008.

If SOD gives its OK to work together, the sound designer gets a password to upload sound data as well as texts, audio demos and even .pdf documents. This could include more details or pictures of your production and even a link to the sound designer website. With the password it is possible to view all the sale and turnover activity.
