Sometimes the urge for some weatherly elements comes upon you, and for those who tried to record rain knows the problematics around it and that mother nature also have to be in on it, all the natural elements are hard to record even though wind is probably the hardest, Hollywood didn't made things easier with it's cinematic rain that is very custom made "indoors" and therefor don't contain so much hiss from the surrounding rain pouring down, but still has put a stamp on how rain should sound even if it's not totally natural. This is though a selection of real high quality rain and some Lo-Fi ones recorded during a three year session with some occasional thunder and most made into loops, perfect for laid back music or commercials / films, made with TripHop, ChillOut, Lounge, Ambient and New Age in mind. Retro Sampling
Retro Sampling is a swedish company working with recording and sound design, It's well known for it's LoFi sample cd's like the Vinyl Dreams and Audio Impurities and produces a bunch of sample cd's with more noise then melodically playable. The company has reach some kind of cult status on the net for it's odd titles and different sound but also for creating some of it's own tools, mostly released as freeware and more intended for sample production then pure music production. Retro Sampling is also working closely with other big international companys and creates musical history but most products and titles are made under the highest secreacy until it's release.
